Regional development and research

The day to day practice of planning often reveals common areas of interest between research being carried out by universities in our region and the issues faced by planners working on regional development projects for local authorities and regional governmental groupings.  Over many years of planning activity, ARSU has participated in a wide range of interdisciplinary university working groups in the Weser-Ems region in a spirit of constructive scientific cooperation to find solutions and strategies for all manner of projects and answers to academic inquiries.

The wide variety of such projects across all ARSU departments bears witness to the benefits of this approach, resulting in a win-win situation for both researchers and ARSU staff alike as well as for the representatives of the local economy and authorities involved.
